PUBLIC HEARING UPDATE
The Public Hearing has been continued. The service changes to take effect on August 16 have been postponed to allow the public more time to respond with comments and suggestions. (link here to Route 1 changes map - pdf) The next Public Hearing will take place at 9:00am on July 28, 2008 in the board room at the AVTA offices at 42210 6th Street West, Lancaster. All who wish to provide input on future service, please attend.

PUBLIC HEARING UPDATE
Staff is recommending changes to the route and schedule information for our local, fixed route transit service. Most of the schedule changes are being made to ensure that our buses can adhere to published time schedules. The most significant changes to the routes involve Route 1. It is the intent to extend Route 1 in Lancaster to service the new Mental Health facility located at Jackman Street and Sierra Hwy.

PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER ROUTE/SCHEDULE CHANGES
AVTA is seeking input on the agency’s proposed local transit service changes which will take effect on August 16, 2008.

AVTA will attend meetings of local organizations to explain the changes and to receive comments and suggestions. To arrange a presentation for your group please call (661) 729-2222.

Passengers and interested members of the public may also visit the AVTA office  for more information.

Written comments on the proposed changes will be accepted up to the start of the Public Hearing which will be at 9:00am on June 23, 2008 in the board room at the AVTA offices at 42210 6th Street West, Lancaster.
