Fares and Where to Buy Passes
Cash Fare
$1.25 for One-Way Fare
$2.00 for 4-Hour Pass
$3.75 for an All Day Pass
$50.00 for 31-Day Pass (purchase online)
Children 44 inches and under in height ride free on regular transit only. Limit four (4) free children per fare paying adult. Each additional child will pay 25 cents.
Senior/Disabled Cash Fare
.60 for One-Way Fare
$1.00 for 4 Hour Pass
$2.00 for an All Day Pass

Senior/Disabled fares are available to eligible persons with disabilities and persons 65 years and older. Photo I.D. is required. Forms of accepted I.D. include an: 1) AVTA photo I.D. card, 2) ASI photo I.D. card, 3) California DMV I.D. card, 4) any driver's license with a photo, or 5) Medicare card.
Seniors Ride Free on AVTA local transit - weekdays between 9am and 5pm and all day long on weekends. Any other day and time seniors ride for half price!
AVTA fare boxes accept coins and dollar bills but do not make change. Passes should be passed through the card reader on top of the fare box when you enter the bus. Passengers paying a reduced fare must show photo I.D. when paying their fare.
Where to Buy Passes
One Way, 4 Hour Passes, and All Day Passes are sold on the bus by the driver.
31-Day Passes may be purchased at the AVTA Administration Office at 42210 6th Street West, Monday through Saturday between 8am and 6pm, and Sunday between 8am and 5pm. Payment for local passes must be made in cash, money order, credit card or debit cards. Personal checks are not accepted. Local passes may also be purchased at the following locations:
