AVTA’s Dial-A-Ride patrons will have more time to book
rides
AVTA’s current policy requires passengers to call one day in advance of needed transportation. Due to the large volume of calls, passengers have had to wait in the phone system for extended periods of time. “We want our customers to be able to book their ride and be on with their day,” said AVTA Executive Director Randy Floyd. “Our goal is to provide safe and professional service in a timely manner. Customer satisfaction is our priority.”
The new system will allow for less time “on-hold” and will afford passengers the peace of mind in knowing their ride has been booked well ahead of time. Passengers may also call for same day service – something that has not been available in the past.
Dial-A-Ride service (curb-to-curb transportation) is available to seniors and persons with disabilities, and to the general public living in rural zones. For more information please call AVTA at 945-9445.
