Local Transit Services
AVTA has 77 local transit buses. Transit vehicles seat 38 to 40 passengers and have two wheelchair positions. All of our buses can accommodate passengers who have difficulty boarding. Operating hours are 5:00 a.m. to 12:28 a.m. Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 10:55 p.m. on Saturdays, and 6:45 a.m. to 10:26 p.m. Sundays. AVTA provides supplemental routes that operate during peak times. Main transfer centers are located at Sgt. Steve Owen Memorial Park and at the Palmdale Transportation Center. AVTA offers Complementary Paratransit alternatives to our local fixed route services through Access (accessla.org) and Dial-A-Ride (avta.com/dial-a-ride.php).

Passengers should note that some runs later in the evenings may be delayed slightly from the time schedule as all outbound buses will wait for connecting buses.
