Reduced Fare Eligibility

There are two ways to apply for Reduced Fares:

An application can be obtained at the AVTA facility located at 42210 6th Street West in Lancaster during normal business hours.
To determine eligibility and/or apply, you can also go to TAP – Transit Access Pass.

Once eligibility has been determined, a photo I.D. will be issued which will be required to use the service. Dial-A-Ride (DAR) provides curb-to-curb transportation service to residents of the Antelope Valley who live within the Los Angeles County area. Eligibility is determined based on residency, age, or disability. DAR is available to the general public for those who live in Rural Zone 2. Please refer to the DAR map for reference.

Starting October 2026, the AVTA lobby will no longer be open the last Saturday of the month for pass sales. the lobby will be open until 8:30pm on the last Friday of the month, and every last Friday of the month moving forward.
