AVTA Temporarily Suspends Commuter Service

UPDATE: AVTA Resumes Commuter Service as of 04.18.24

Antelope Valley Transit Authority announced today the planned resumption of commuter services, scheduled to begin ramping up on Thursday, April 18, 2024. This commuter service travels to downtown Los Angeles, Century City, San Fernando Valley, and the TRANSporter to Newhall. This includes routes 785, 786, 787, and 790.

Commuters may continue riding Metrolink during the temporary commuter route suspension. AVTA will be at both the Lancaster and Palmdale Metrolink stations 
in the morning to assist with boarding & pass issues. We continue to work on a replacement commuter service.

AVTA will be offering shuttle services to Lancaster and Palmdale Metrolink. See below for departure times.

Starting October 2026, the AVTA lobby will no longer be open the last Saturday of the month for pass sales. the lobby will be open until 8:30pm on the last Friday of the month, and every last Friday of the month moving forward.
